Marina Guard® Alarm trip point may be set from .010 A. to 10 A.  As faults are located and repaired alarm levels may be reduced accordingly.

Feeder insulation resistance in ungrounded systems may also be monitored.

Power for the unit (120 VAC) is obtained from the substation and a wireless alarm signal may be sent to the dock master's office with an optional transmitter.

While an AC Ground fault may be a fire hazard at any time, faults in a fresh water marina, combined with inadequate grounding, are lethal to anyone in the water near the boat, and have caused a number of fatalities. This is also true if the fault is in the marina dock wiring.

Ground fault monitoring is now recommended in the Marina Electrical Safety Standard NFPA-303-2006, request excerpt.
